New Gothic Metal

I want to dedicate some lines about this new musical current called: Gothic Metal, and it started in 1990 with two rhythms merged (heavy metal & gothic music).

Ten years later the sound followed latend in fried Nordic of the European continent, specially in Norway, where a medieval element was added, this new current denominated "Gothic Scandinavian Metal" and one of most representative group from this is WITHIN TEMPTATION, this band born in 1996 in Holland.

The soul of the group is the singer Sharon den Adel (she has a wonderful and powerful voice) and the guitarist and composer Robert Westerholt.
Finally, Within Temptation is the new leader of the European gothic movement.

En los años 90 un nuevo sonido musical que mezclaba el heavy metal y la música gótica se gestaba en Europa y Estados Unidos, dicho sonido se denominó “Gothic Metal”.
Diez años mas tarde el sonido siguió latente en el frió nórdico del continente europeo, especialmente en Noruega, donde se añadió un elemento medieval .
Uno de los grupos más reprsentativos de esta corriente es WITHIN TEMPTATION, quienes nacen en Holanda en 1996. El alma del grupo es la cantante Sharon den Adel, con su voz épica e irresistible, y el guitarrista y compositor Robert Westerholt.
Within Temptation son los nuevos líderes del movimiento gótico europeo, y su prueba definitiva es su nuevo disco “The Silent Force”.
